At Warkworth Lodge, a warm welcome is at the heart of what we do.

Our friendly team is led by Michelle, who takes great pride in the lodge and in making sure every guest feels comfortable and well looked after. Wherever possible, we personally welcome our guests and help them settle in, creating the relaxed, home-away-from-home atmosphere that makes Warkworth Lodge special.

Geoff, Liz and Tony are local members of our team, and we're often joined by international travellers taking part in exchange experiences. Together, we create a friendly and easy-going environment, with plenty of good conversation and a few travel stories along the way.

Being locals, we love sharing our knowledge of Warkworth and the Matakana Coast. Whether you're looking for a great café or restaurant, a local winery, a beautiful beach, a walking trail or a good fishing spot, we're always happy to offer suggestions and help you discover some local favourites.

Our central Warkworth location makes it easy to explore the wider Matakana Coast, and Matakana Tours offers convenient door-to-door tours directly from the lodge.

Of course, you don't have to be out exploring every day. You're equally welcome to slow down, find a sunny spot in our grounds and simply relax.
